 Summary of Position

Administrative Support to Mental Health Director/Mental Health Professional Supervisor including paperwork/billing and duties related to Mental Health programming.

 

  1. Education and Experience

            Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred in administrative assistant, business, accounting, human services or related field required. Prior experience working with people with disabilities.  Two years of work experience.  Excellent communications skills (verbal and written). Strong computer, organizational and relationship skills essential.

  • Maintain a professional image while working at community sites. (see Code of Ethics).
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Work cooperatively with all people.
  • Effectively communicate with others – verbal and written.
  • Work independently to ensure consistency with ODC policies.
  • Utilize computer for word processing, excel and data base.
  • Ability to develop reports and structure funding/financial payments.
  • Recruitment support for new hires for Mental Health program (ie: interview setups, follow up contact, reference checks, etc.).
  • Provide new hire orientation and onboarding for Mental Health staff.
  • Provide and track ongoing training information for Mental Health staff.
  • Monitor completion of and review of case notes in files as necessary.
  • Assist Mental Health staff in updating files as needed.
  • Assist Mental Health Director/Supervisor with Quality Assurance processes.
  • Assist Mental Health Director/Supervisor with County Audits.
  • Assist with coordinating materials for meetings and reviews.
  • Assist with Mental Health monthly billings.
  • Assist with tracking data pertaining to end of month/year reports.
  • Willingness to complete first aid and CPR training and certification if requested.

 

III.    Physical Requirements

  • Ability to facilitate, initiate and respond to verbal, written, computerized, telephone and fax communications.
  • Ability to demonstrate, train and/or model job tasks/duties/responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform quality inspection according to ODC’s and/or customer’s requirements.
  • Mobility to access various locations within/outside ODC facilities.
  • Lifting 25 – 35 lbs frequently – up to 60 lbs occasionally.
